Dr Aneeba Anwar will be talking about dementia at a special screening of Still Alice at the Phoenix Cinema in Oxford on 16 March.

Still Alice, starring Oscar-winning Julianne Moore, tells the story of Alice Howland, a happily married linguistics professor with three grown children who starts to experience memory loss. Alice and her family find their bonds tested when she receives a devastating diagnosis that she has young onset Alzheimer’s disease.

Following the screening of the film, Dr Aneeba Anwar, an old age psychiatrist for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Anna Eden, Support Service Manager of YoungDementia UK, will be available to discuss and answer any questions about Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia for anyone who might be affected by any of the issues in the book and film.

Still Alice starts at 6.00pm on Monday 16th March. Adult tickets are £10.00 and student/concession tickets are £9.00.
