Michael Marven, Oxford Health’s chief pharmacist, has been awarded Fellowship of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy (CMHP), in recognition of important contributions to the field of mental health pharmacy.

The current CMHP President, Nikki Holmes, presented Michael (known as ‘Mick’ by his friends) with a Fellowship certificate at the CMHP awards ceremony on Saturday 8th October 2016.

According to the CMHP, Mick has been instrumental in its development, having served as both its Treasurer and President over recent years.

A colleague at Oxford Health said; “Thanks to Mick our organisation has an excellent clinical pharmacy service that we can be proud of… He has led the way in improving pharmacy services for mental health and has always been willing to share that knowledge and experience with other pharmacy departments.”

Mick said: “I feel honoured and privileged to receive fellowship. Thank you to all friends and colleagues in CMHP and the fabulous Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust pharmacy service. I’m very grateful to whoever it was that nominated me.”

Our congratulations to Mick!
