Stately Car Boot Sale raising funds for sick children

Join us to raise money for children with life-limiting, chronic and terminal illness at a charity car boot sale in the grounds of a stately home.

Stately Car Boot Sale raising funds for sick children

The Stately Car Boot Sale takes place in the grounds of Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, each year raising funds for the charity Respite Care for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters (ROSY).

Buyers and sellers visit to find hidden treasures and sell their unwanted items.

All proceeds go towards ROSY, an organisation which directly pays the salaries of nurses who care for children with life-limiting, chronic and terminal conditions in their own homes. It concentrates on raising awareness and funds for respite nurses in Oxfordshire. ROSY is a part of the Oxford Health charity.

Director of Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary Kerry Rogers said, “ROSY is a wonderful organisation that helps children and their families at a very difficult time. The Oxford Health Charity is proud to support ROSY and really grateful to the staff and nurses for everything they do, Thank you to all that helped to organise the Stately Car Boot Sale. I hope everyone has a wonderful time and it’s a really great success.”

As well as bagging some bargains, visitors can enjoy pizza vans, ice cream, tea tents and (hopefully) some sunny weather.

This year’s event takes place on Sunday 17 September from 9am to 3pm. Entry is £5 for adults and children under 16 get in free.

If you would like to sell at the care boot sale spaces must be booked in advance due to demand. Gates open at 7am for vendors.
