Summer fete at Bicester Community Hospital

The League of Friends at our Bicester Community Hospital have raised almost £700 in support to support the Hospital.

Summer fete at Bicester Community Hospital

Staff and supporters organised a Summer Fete at the Hospital on Saturday 1st July, which was opened by the Mayor of Bicester, Les Sibley, together with his wife Mary.

The fete was also supported by Bicester Village and the Wyevale at Bicester Avenue, and a host of volunteer and community members, including the Littlebury Hotel, a long-standing League of Friends supporter.

A visitor to the event said: “I really enjoyed the fete, the weather was kind to us and met lots of Bicester people enjoying the event.”

I managed to buy a few lovely plants and have a go on the fun stalls! Had a great hand massage too. It’s great to support such a good cause”

The League of Friends not only support the Community Hospital through their fundraising but also have a team of volunteers who regularly support patients and staff – a real example of the community making a difference in their local services.

They work to supplement what is provided by the NHS to improve the care and comfort of the patients, visitors and staff, and recent purchases include garden furniture to enable inpatients to enjoy the garden facilities with their families.
