Visiting a Community Hospital

Visiting a Community Hospital

The Trust welcomes all visits from family and friends to our Community Hospitals. Children are also welcomed on all of our wards to visit relatives or family friends. Visiting times for each hospital do vary, but the reception staff will be happy to advise you of these if you wish to contact them before your first visit.

We do take infection control and prevention very seriously and all visitors will be asked to wash their hands or use alcohol foam, which will be available on all ward entrances before your visit.  We would also respectfully ask that if you or an immediate member of your family have been unwell, especially with diarrhoea and/or vomiting that you do not visit until you have been symptom free for 48 hours.

If you are not able to visit for any reason all the wards have a patient phone which you are more than welcome to call.  The numbers will be given to you when your relative or friend is admitted to make sure that you are able to stay in contact during their stay.

Ward staff will always be available during your visit to offer support and advice and to answer any questions that you have.

Parking

Parking is available on all sites, although please note that at Oxford City, based within the John Radcliffe Hospital, payment will be required through their pay and display system.
