Who we work with

We work with adults (18 and above) with acquired communication, voice or swallowing disorders, because of neurological or physical impairment:

  • communication impairments including difficulty producing and using speech, or difficulty understanding or using language

The majority of our clients have a diagnosis of:

  • stroke
  • brain injury
  • progressive neurological condition such as motor neurone disease or Parkinson’s disease
  • dementia (for swallowing only)
  • cancer of the mouth or throat
  • physical disability
  • structural changes to anatomy e.g. pharyngeal pouch
  • chronic medical conditions such as COPD, which may lead to swallowing difficulty.

Our clients live in Oxfordshire and need to be registered with an Oxfordshire GP.
