Initially launching to North Buckinghamshire and operating a 9am -5pm, Monday – Friday service, the Buckinghamshire’s Adult Mental Health Gateway is a specialist, multi-disciplinary team providing advice and guidance to professionals to help them meet the needs of service users within Primary Care. This includes direct access to a pharmacist for medication advice.

As well as specialist advice to professionals, the Bucks Adult Mental Health Gateway provide a “no wrong door” referral approach for adults (18years+) experiencing mental health problems.

Following a referral, patient needs are assessed via triage and supported to access mental health, voluntary and community sector services, ensuring they receive the right care at the right time in consideration of their holistic needs, including specialist employment support.
