About us

Designed in partnership with patients, professionals and carers, Buckinghamshire’s Adult Mental Health Gateway has four key aims for patients:

1. Provide simplified access to adult mental health care in Buckinghamshire
2. Provide timely access to a range of services which offer the right type of care for individual needs
3. Provide support to the ‘whole person’: including medication, employment, training, social, physical as well as mental health support
4. Provide a whole team approach involving the patient, their GP, a range of mental health professions and services, community services and the voluntary sector

The team will also provide support and advice to professionals to support a new integrated model of primary and community mental health care that supports adults with mental illnesses.
