The Neuro Developmental Conditions (NDC) Pathway is one of the specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The NDC pathway offers diagnostic assessment of Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as other neuro-developmental conditions.
Following a diagnosis, post diagnostic parent Autism and ADHD groups are offered. We do not offer ongoing support for children and families who meet the criteria for other CAMHS services, however in some cases, discrete pieces of intervention or therapeutic work can be offered to families whose needs cannot be met within the other CAMHS services.
A consent form will be sent prior to the assessment. By attending the appointment, you are agreeing to the assessment of a neurodevelopmental condition. This is irrespective of the reason for the initial referral.
We have created a helpful information pack for parents and carers to learn more about autism.
We know that waiting for an assessment and support can be hard when a child has difficulties.
Referrals can be made via the Single Point of Access (SPA) service where they are screened and if appropriate forwarded onto the NDC pathway. You can self-refer or be referred by another professional such as a GP or school. This can be by either calling 01865 902515 or emails to: OxonCAMHSSPA@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk
See our referrals page for further information.
