Buckinghamshire CAMHS & Eating Disorder Service
Come join our CAMHS and Eating Disorder Service in Buckinghamshire.
Our Buckinghamshire CAMHS and All Age Eating Disorder Service works to the THRIVE approach, which is an integrated, person centred and needs led approach to delivering mental health services for children, young people and their families.
Our specialist teams help children and young people, their families and carers, when they are experiencing mental health difficulties. Each of the community CAMHS teams provides assessment and treatment of young people with mental health difficulties. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches including family therapy, group work, outreach and psychological therapies. Each team has staff from a range of professions including nursing, psychology, psychiatry, and family therapy.
Buckinghamshire CAMHS offers opportunities for people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. We are interested in finding people who are passionate about working in CAMHS, who have transferable skills and who may need some specialist training in order to change direction.
If you’re a qualified nurse, occupational therapist, clinical psychologist, social worker or are working in another core profession, and you have some experience of working with children, you could transfer your skills to a role with CAMHS- and we’ll offer specialist training if it’s needed.
Our administrative support staff are incredibly important to our families and our clinicians. Even if you’ve been working in a different sector, if you have skills that are transferable and are interested in contributing to the care we give, please get in touch if you see a role that interests you.
If you are interested in starting or developing your career in CAMHS or in our Eating Disorders Service, and are looking to join a friendly service committed to high quality patient care and supporting the wellbeing of staff, then we would love to hear from you.
