Towards a better understanding of eating disorders
Brain and body research in eating disorders (Ox-BREaD)
The Brain & Body Research in Eating Disorders (Ox-BREad) unit work to understand the cognitive, emotional and somatic processes underpinning the severe eating disorder Anorexia Nervosa. Our trans-disciplinary research involving clinical and neuroscientists aims to translate research findings into novel treatment strategies. Please see the Department of Psychiatry website for more information.
We are also currently recruiting to two studies:
Guided self-help research trial
Cotswold House is currently undertaking a research trial to look at different types of support for service users receiving guided self help. There is also a published journal article about the trial.
If you are a service user who may take part in the study, or think you might be eligible to take part, please speak to your care co-ordinator or allocated therapist for further information.
