The Wiltshire Community Eating Disorders Service was launched in May 2011. We provide community support for adults who need help and advice from our multidisciplinary team.

Our team offers various interventions either within service user’s own homes, health centres or GP surgeries. The team can help with shopping and meal planning to psychological support, depending on individual needs and decisions made during the initial assessment process.

The team will work alongside, and in collaboration with, existing health professionals to ensure that everyone involved is kept informed and up to date with diagnosis, treatment and progress.

We provide specialist assessment and treatment for adult patients with eating disorders, registered with a Wiltshire GP.

The multi-disciplinary team comprises:

  • A family therapist
  • Specialist nurse
  • Psychiatrist
  • Dietician
  • Occupational therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Technical instructors
  • Administrative staff.

Treatment options

The team offer a range of treatment options from support and monitoring to talking therapies.

The team also provides additional services to other health professionals such as training and supervision. In collaboration with Cotswold House, a regular Friends and Family Group is available to offer support, help and advice.
