Understanding the role of medication, talking therapies and the Mental Health Act

14th November 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

£10

This session is designed to provide information on everything that the carer is already deemed to know by health professionals.

Exactly what is medication and how can it be used effectively? What do I do if the person I care for doesn’t want to take it?

What are talking therapies? Are they useful?

Exactly what is the Mental Health Act? Who can use it and what rights do people have under it?

Trainer: Robert Corteen

This workshop provided only for Buckinghamshire-based carers of service users who are currently under Bucks Mental Health Teams.
