Competition time!

Re-use and re-imagine
Let’s make some art!

The very first pictures made by people – the cave paintings – depicted animals, and ever since nature has inspired artists. Getting creative is a wonderful way to get connected with nature and notice what’s around you.

Let’s get creative!

  1. Choose artwork or your favourite creature or nature spot
  2. Recreate it with household items and what you find in the garden
  3. Take a picture to post on Instagram
  4. Tag #HealthFest2020
  5. Write a little bit about what it is

Post your creations on Instagram by September 30, and you stand a chance to win bottles of Warneford Apple Juice, made from Warneford Meadow apples!

Inspiration

In this example one of our staff has recreated the Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s painting Great Black Woodpecker (oil on canvas, 1892-1894) with scarves, socks, a belt and a bottle of nail polish on a yoga mat

This activity has been inspired by many museums around the world who started arts challenges during the COVID-19 lockdown. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Winners

Winners will be picked up Oxford Health Arts Partnership leads Angela Conlan and Tom Cox.
