Why work for us?

Healthy Minds Bucks is a nationally acclaimed NHS service providing evidence based psychological therapies for people experiencing anxiety and depression. The service helps over 10,000 people in Buckinghamshire each year and has some of the highest recovery rates in the country. 

The service is a well-established Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service delivering a range of step 2 and 3 psychological interventions. We also provide support for people who are experiencing psychological difficulties alongside a Long Term Health Condition (LTC). 

The service has more than 250 staff, including Psychological Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Administrative Staff, and Employment Advisors (employed by Richmond Fellowship). 

Professional development

We have close linking to Oxford Brookes, Buckinghamshire, Reading and Bath Universities. We are part of the Oxford Academic Health Science Centre, working closely with our university colleagues to translate their findings into clinical care as quickly as possible, enabling people using our services to benefit from the latest advances in healthcare.

267-BM3738666 / 267-BM3738713 – Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Low Intensity Worker)

The Buckinghamshire Healthy Minds service is looking to recruit Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP’s)!
You will offer high volume evidence-based practice in Guided Self-help (Telephone and Face to Face), Computerised CBT and the Psycho-educational Courses programme, working with people with common mental health problems. You will demonstrate that you are working to a qualified PWP standard work plan and meeting the targets set for each intervention. You could also be involved in other workstreams or projects such as Digital interventions for Social Anxiety Disorder; Perinatal Disorders and Long Term Medical Conditions.
In return we offer robust supervision from skilled supervisors and managers and ongoing Continuing Professional Development including an annual CPD budget for relevant external training courses.

267-BM3769337 – IAPT Care Coordinator

This position would suit a mental health professional with an interest in psychological therapies, or a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) who wishes to expand their experience and undertake additional training.

You will work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing patients’ needs and providing patient-specific programmes of care through individual, group and digital treatments. You will also work closely with the Healthy Minds Single Point of Access (SPA) team, participating in screening, risk assessing and supporting people to access therapy within both primary & secondary care.

You will have the opportunity to undertake high quality training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Support from skilled supervisors and comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you develop your skills to deliver IAPT psychological therapies.

267-BM3769719 / 267-BM3769754 – IAPT Team Leader

We are looking for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to further enhance our leadership team. BABCP accreditation is desirable, or you can work towards obtaining this during your first year in post. As a member of the wider Healthy Minds leadership team, you will have responsibility for supporting the smooth delivery of service, including the work of psychological wellbeing practitioners at step 2, and high intensity therapists at step 3 in our pathway. You will provide line managerial and clinical supervisory support to clinical staff, with support from our operational team.

Alongside your managerial responsibilities you will hold your own clinical caseload to help develop and enhance your clinical practice. We are committed to supporting your ongoing professional and clinical development, and staff wellbeing is another top priority for us. We have a very active, award winning, wellbeing team within the service and work hard to ensure that a supportive, collaborative, and productive culture is in place.
