Clinical Commissioning Groups
Responsible for around 60% of the total NHS budget, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) took control in April 2013 as part of the reforms introduced by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 . They commission the majority of health services, including emergency care, elective hospital care, maternity services, and community and mental health services.

Wessex GP Educational Trust (WGPET)
The Wessex GP Educational Trust (WGPET) is a charity formed in 1990 to provide funding for educational events run by GP Tutors. It funds a wide range of events provided by local GP educators and small groups throughout the area covered by HEE Wessex. Please Note: the charity will be closing on 31st March 2021.
Wessex Professional Support and Wellbeing Unit
The Wessex Professional Support and Wellbeing Unit (PSW) offers support to any trainee who finds that they are struggling (for whatever reason), despite local support; in order for them to make progress in their training.
Kent Surrey and Sussex and Thames Valley and Wessex Leadership Academies came together on 1st April 2020, forming the NHS South East Leadership Academy.
