The Thames Valley and Wessex Dental Directorate works across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to deliver high quality evidence-informed dental education and training for all dental care professionals.

Clinical Commissioning Groups
Responsible for around 60% of the total NHS budget, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) took control in April 2013 as part of the reforms introduced by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 . They commission the majority of health services, including emergency care, elective hospital care, maternity services, and community and mental health services.
Clinical Commissioning Groups in Thames Valley are:
- NHS Berkshire West CCG
- NHS Buckinghamshire CCG
- NHS East Berkshire CCG
- NHS Milton Keynes CCG
- NHS Oxfordshire CCG
CCGs are working in collaboration with other organisations to form Integrated Care Systems (ICSs).

Health Education England Thames Valley Professional Support and Wellbeing Unit is dedicated to helping doctors, dentists and pharmacists across the Thames Valley fulfill their career potential. It offers personal coaching and mentoring, workshops, and information designed to enable doctors and dentists across Thames Valley to fulfil their career potential, supporting career choices and addressing performance improvement needs. Kent Surrey and Sussex and Thames Valley and Wessex Leadership Academies came together on 1st April 2020, forming the NHS South East Leadership Academy. The Academy is part of the wider national Leadership and Lifelong Learning function (NHS Leadership Academy) within the NHS England and Improvement People Directorate.
