CPD funding for nurses working in the community

The Nursing Workforce report from House of Commons Health Select committeehas highlighted the importance of access to  continuing professional development (CPD) in retention of nursing staff in the workforce. The report calls for Health Education England to reverse cuts to nurses’ CPD budgets and suggests that funding allocated to trusts should be specifically ringfenced for CPD for nurses, with specific funding available to support CPD for nurses working in the community.
