GP Partnership Review – interim report

The Interim Report of the GP Partnership Review, chaired  by Dr Nigel Watson, identifies areas where the review will look for solutions to reinvigorate the partnership model and support the transformation of general practice.

The report sets out the key messages heard during visits and engagements with GPs, Practice Managers, Practice Nurses and others and describes the developing thinking in relation to workforce, workload, the role and business model of general practice in light of the evidence received and ongoing policy developments.  The report also highlights some further overarching issues of relevance to the review, which were identified as important additional considerations: for example, digital and technology, and status and morale.
