Improving general practice – a call to action

Improving general practice – a call to action, NHS England, July 2013

As part of a wider Call to action launched in 2013, NHS England has set out the case for changes to the way that general practice services are commissioned and provided. Undoubtedly this offers fresh opportunities and new challenges. The aim is to enable general practice to play an even stronger role at the heart of more integrated out-of-hospital services that deliver better outcomes, more personalised care, excellent patient experience and the most efficient possible use of NHS resources.

This forms part of the wider consultation ‘The NHS belongs to the people: a call to action’ that NHS England launched on 11 July 2013.

The first emerging findings report was published in March 2014
