Innovators Mentorship Programme
The Innovators Mentorship Programme (IMP) is a flagship programme from the RCGP to support entrepreneurial GPs across the UK. The programme for GPs provides support to develop innovations that support the NHS and primary care, through mentoring, training, access to a peer group of entrepreneurs, networking, and the opportunity to present innovations on a national platform.
Applications are now open for GP entrepreneurs.
Lack of evaluation information and real-world evidence are potentially the biggest challenges to using innovations. In an extension of the Innovators Mentorship Programme the RCGP is seeking pilot sites (including federations, clusters and super-partnerships or similar) to work with GP entrepreneurs and help to give users and commissioners confidence on the appropriateness of a particular innovation.
