Learning about meningitis

A recent report from the Meningococcal Working Group (2 July 2018) on raising awareness, early diagnosis, and treatment of sepsis and meningococcal disease, includes examples of e-learning packages for healthcare professionals, including these from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Bacterial meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia in children – eLearning which helps healthcare professionals assess and manage children who present with possible bacterial meningitis and/or meningococcal septicaemia.

Improving the recognition, diagnosis and management of bacterial meningitis in young infants. Eight interactive e-learning modules based around the clinical features of disease, clinical decision making, investigations, best practice management and appropriate follow up using anonymised case studies from a UK study on bacterial meningitis in infants.
