MOOC – free online learning

MOOC –  Massive Open Online Courses – are free online short courses aimed at large-scale participation and open access via the internet.

While they do not give you academic credits they can be used to support your CPD.

There is a wide range of courses available, some of which are of interest to healthcare professionals. Take a look at the courses created by London South Bank University and made available through Canvas Network including What Matters: Understanding Mental Health, and Deteriorating Patient: Assessment, Recognition and Management. Or at the health and psychology courses from a number of academic organisations through FutureLearn (Open University).
