National Data Opt-out Programme introductory event 28 February

NHS Digital is developing a new system to support national data opt-out which will give patients more control over how their data is used. The system will let patients exercise their right to make an informed choice about whether their data is only used for their individual care and treatment or also shared for research and planning purposes.

Learn about the National Data Opt-out Programme on the NHS Digital website.

Royal College of General Practitioners are holding a half day event on 28 February 2018 in Birmingham for Practice Managers and GPs to provide an introduction to the changes coming in response to the programme. Find out more here: Understanding the National Data Opt-out.
