Personalised Care Institute

The Personalised Care Institute (PCI) is  a virtual organisation launched on 15 September 2020 and  convened by the Royal College of GPs in partnership with and funded by NHS England and NHS Improvement. It aims to train at least 75,000 health and care workers over 5 years to deliver on the NHS England Long Term Plan commitment to ensure 2.5 million people receive personalised care by 2024.

The PCI training programmes will particularly focus on the following personalised care topics:

  • Shared decision making;
  • Personalised care and support planning;
  • Social prescribing and community-based support; and
  • Supported self-management.
