STPs explained

NHS sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) are the mechanism for delivering the national priorities for the NHS in England, including the Five Year Forward View (5YFV). The 44 STPs are separate partnerships  made up of NHS organisations, including CCGs, NHS trusts and foundation trusts and primary care services, as well as local authorities. Read the briefing  published by the House of Commons Library outlining the context in which STPs have been developed, their funding and accountability arrangements as well as their progress so far.
