UpToDate Trial 1st August – 30th September

UPTODATE® IS NOW AVAILABLE AT Oxford Health FT
Oxford Health is participating in a 60 day trial of  UpToDate®, the clinical decision support system preferred by physicians worldwide. The trial runs from 1st August to 30 September 2013.
You can access UpToDate from anywhere with internet access, using your Oxford Health NHS Athens log in (contact library.enquiries@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk for more information) and get specific, detailed answers to your clinical questions, often within minutes.

To access:

  1. log into MY Athens at https://auth.athensams.net/?ath_returl=%2Fmy%2F&ath_dspid=ATHENS.MY   

Select Resources / Local Resources/ then scroll down to Uptodate  (tick to add to Favourites so that it will appear on your MyAthens front page in future) and select the link Uptodate to access- initiallyyou will be asked to register to personalise your account but this is not essential.

2.     Alternatively you can visit www.uptodate.com/online and click on Log in (top right corner); the select Log in via Athens/ enter Athens user name and password.

UpToDate includes original content that is written, reviewed and continually updated by a faculty of more than 5,100 leading physicians. As a subscriber, you can access:

  • Over 9,500 topics in 19 specialties, including Hospital Medicine
  • Graded treatment recommendations
  • Links to full text for referenced articles (provided your institution subscribes to a service that allows this access)
  • A drug database and drug interactions program (in partnership with Lexicomp)(n.b.please note that this is US based).
