We could not function as we do without them, they make everyone’s working lives easier.”

On the record

Gilly Gawthorne, office manager, said her team of eight was very proud to have been nominated and even more delighted to have won. The CAMHS Admin team offer full administrative support to psychiatrists and 35 supportive clinicians – including occupational therapists and community psychiatric nurse – ensuring their dairies are maintained, appointments and waiting list arrangements for assessments are made. They are often the first point of contact for many parents.

“We’ve worked very hard to get where we are,” said Gilly, who has been office manager for 17 months. “We’ve revisited all our processes to be able to work smarter and are better able to offer support to our doctors and clinicians. It’s lovely to have had that work recognised in this way.”
