Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is a progressive inherited neurological condition that affects approximately 23,000 in the UK. It is a highly variable condition, even between members of the same family, characterised by progressive loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation across various parts of the body.
Little is known about this condition and this month’s aim is to raise awareness – not only of the condition, but also of the support that is available for sufferers. More information can be found by clicking here.
