September 2013 will mark the second global World Alzheimer’s month, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma. There are currently an estimated 800,000 people with dementia in the UK, although it is estimated that only 44% receive a diagnosis.
This year, Alzheimer associations across the world will focus their activities on the care required by people with dementia throughout the course of the condition. For downloadable promotional material, or for ideas of how you can get involved and help raise awareness, please click here.
