Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. The name fibromyalgia is made up from “fibro” for fibrous tissues such as tendons and ligaments; “my” indicating muscles; and “algia” meaning pain.

Despite being more common than rheumatoid arthritis, very little is known publicly about this condition – and this week’s aim is to educate more people about it. For further information on this condition, plus support, further reading material and useful contact details, please click here.
