Waitrose’s Give a Little Love campaign is donating essential food, goods, support and money to those in our communities who have suffered most in the pandemic. Marlborough Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is the grateful recipient of £250 as part of the local Waitrose’s donations.
On Thursday, August 5, Dr Vicki Glossop and Dr Jara Falkenburg from the CAMHS team collected the cheque from Lisa Wakeham who is running the Give a Little Love campaign locally.
Office manager Helen Sheehan said:
“We will be using this money to set up a free lending library to support young people who are suffering from eating disorders and their families. As we know, this area of mental health has been particularly hard hit during the pandemic so Waitrose’s generosity could not have been better timed. Thank you to Waitrose and particularly to Lisa Wakeham for making this happen.”
Julie Pink, Head of Charity and Community Involvement said:
“This generous donation from Waitrose for the eating disorders team in Marlborough has been given via the Oxford Health Charity who support all services within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. The charity will work with the team to ensure the funds are spent on their lending library project, enhancing the experience of those receiving care.”
