Changes to services due to cold weather
Update: all our services are back to normal now.
Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) teams in Swindon, Melksham, Salisbury, Marlborough and the area we serve in Bath and North-East Somerset (BANES) will be closed due to the bad weather on Friday 2nd March 2018.
If you need to speak to someone from these CAMHS teams urgently between 9 am and 5 pm, please call 01865 901000 and your call will be put through to someone able to help you.
After 5 pm, the normal out of hours service will be in place for this service.
Oxford Health’s dental clinics will be closing between 2 and 3 pm today afternoon: any patients requiring access to urgent dental care after this time will be seen at the East Oxford Dental clinic.
We are working hard to run the out of hours dental service as normal until 10 pm, and then over the weekend, but this may change subject to weather conditions.
The Luther Street Medical Centre will be closing early at 1.30 pm on Friday 2nd March.
The Kidlington Well Baby clinic at St John’s will not be running on Friday 2nd March.
We will continue to update this page regularly if we receive any other reports of service disruption, so please do check back regularly.
In the meantime, do make sure that you stay warm. If going outside, make sure you dress appropriately. If indoors, make sure that you keep your heating to the right temperature; heating your home to at least 18°C in winter poses minimal risk to your health when you are wearing suitable clothing.
If there is anyone you know who might be at special risk, for example, an older person living on their own, make sure they know what to do to stay warm and are well stocked with food and medications.
If you are worried about your health or that of somebody you know, please ring NHS 111.
