Dr Svetlana Hemsley talks Dementia at our first Bucks Health Matters in association with Bucks Mind.

Dr Svetlana Hemsley, a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist on one of our older adult inpatient wards shared her specialist expertise on dementia and gave us an overview of the condition, how to recognise it and what the latest evidence based research to treat the symptoms are.

Dr Hemsley finished her talk with a lively Q&A which generated lots of discussion from the audience.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust would like to thank Rob Michael-Phillips, Chief Executive, Buckinghamshire MIND for co-hosting this inaugural event, Carol Connolly, Volunteer, Buckinghamshire MIND for organising the event and to everyone who came along for their interesting and discussion stimulating questions.

We will be hosting our second collaborative event on Tuesday, 14th May at 10.00 in Aylesbury Methodist Church where Dr Chris Newrith will be talking about our Buckinghamshire Complex Needs Service and working with patients with Personality Disorder.

All are welcome so if you would like to attend please email: carole@life-matters-uk.com
