Julie Waldron, Chief Executive said, “Over the past year the Trust has made significant progress to ensure that it meets all of the targets set by the Healthcare Commission. We are confident that our ratings will improve next year thanks to the dedication and hard work of our staff.

“We are pleased that the Trust was rated good for our use of resources. We have consistently met our financial targets over the past two years.

“The Trust has a robust action plan in place to ensure that improvements are made which will ensure we meet our targets and improve services for patients.

“We are also looking forward to achieving Foundation Trust status in the new year after becoming the first Trust in the local area to be approved by the Department of Health to progress our application.”
