Let’s hear you make some noise for Mental Health Nurse Day 2021!

Sing it loud and sing it proud - our mental health nurses are amazing! And Mental Health Nurses Day 2021 this Sunday will be putting them in the national spotlight.

Let’s hear you make some noise for Mental Health Nurse Day 2021!

There’s more to being a mental health nurse than you might think!

Here we see acting ward manager, Kestrel Ward, Thomas Smith, Acting Charge Nurse, Tinoziva Tembo and staff nurse, Nomatter Manzira-Charlton in the music room getting to make a noise for #MHNursesDay

Mental Health Nurse Day 2021 happens on February 21 this year and is an opportunity to shout about the profession and tell people a little more about what the job involves.

As Thomas explains: “Mental health still comes with a lot of stigma, and yet statistics show that a large proportion of our society will at some point suffer with mental health issues. Why not raise the profile and raise awareness?

“It’s a career worth taking, it’s life changing for you and for your patients.”
