Would you like to help guide mental health research in Oxford?

As part of Oxford Health's commitment to involving patients and members of the public in our work, we are setting up a group, together with the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford, called Patients and Research (PAR).

Patients and Research (PAR) will be made up of staff members from across mental health research and care in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and patient, carer and public members aged 18 or over.

The group will meet around 4 times a year and will give you an opportunity to be involved in deciding what research we do, how we do it and what happens with the results.

Are you?

Someone who has used mental health services, now or in the past?

A carer for someone who has been diagnosed with a mental illness?

A member of the public, perhaps without direct experience of mental illness, but an understanding of and interest in mental health research and care?

Interested in taking part?

Please contact us on the phone number or email below and we can give you further information about joining the group.

Phone: 01865 618217

Email: pargroup@psych.ox.ac.uk

Closing date for registration of interest: 10 June 2016.

All expenses will be paid, such as travel or the costs of a carer to enable you to attend meetings, and a day rate for your time is also offered.
