Mental Health Action Week 8 – 14 April 2007

One in four people will experience a mental health problem during their lives. For every person who is ill, the lives of their family, friends and colleagues are also affected. It is at this time when people rely on help from their local health services.

Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (OBMH) is applying to become a Foundation Trust which will give local people, patients and staff more say on how local mental health services are provided.

We want to provide the best services for local residents. As a Foundation Trust, with your help, we can decide what services we need and what we spend our money on.

Bringing together the thoughts and ideas of staff, patients, carers and local residents will help us to become an independent and strong trust.

OBMH is inviting local people to take action during Mental Health Action Week and become a member of their Foundation Trust.

Joining is easy, either log onto www.obmh.nhs.uk and click on Foundation Trust on the left hand side of the page or call 01865 782180 for an application form.

You can become involved as much as you like. Whether you want to simply receive regular updates on our developments or stand for election as a Governor who sits on the Foundation Trust council, the choice is yours. Whatever the level, your contribution will be really valued.
