New study at Oxford Health Clinical Research Facility looking for participants

Currently, there are no approved therapies for the prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease.

The ReTain study at the Oxford Health Clinical Research Facility (OH CRF) is looking for volunteers aged 55-75 without a memory condition to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an immunotherapy treatment in slowing the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Participation involves:

  • 22 clinic visits and 4 phone calls over 4 years
  • Completion of a participant diary
  • Scans
  • Cognitive tests

Recruitment to the study is open until December 2026.

Those with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Dementia or non-Alzheimer’s Dementia would not be eligible to participate.

Those with history or current neurological disease would not be eligible to participate.
