Henley Minor Injuries Unit comes under the Urgent Care Service based at Townlands Hospital which is in the heart of the town and the unit was purpose built for a minor injury unit (MIU). The unit is open seven days a week and they treat a range of conditions such as strains and sprains, broken bones, minor burns and scalds, minor eye injuries to cuts and grazes, and they treat all age groups.

Their aim is to provide a professional, patient focused service committed to caring with dignity and respect.

It is staffed by autonomous highly qualified Nurse and Paramedic Specialist Practitioners who are assisted by Emergency Nurse Assistants and receptionists.

Angela Porter, clinical lead, whom has been in the Minor Injury Unit for 20 years said: “We as a team pride ourselves on providing a first class professional service to the community and each and every patient is treated as an individual with the upmost care and attention.”
