Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (OBMH) is celebrating winning one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2009. This is the fourth year running that OBMH has been awarded the Gold Award.

David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, said “OBMH has shown commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of its employees and others. Being awarded the RoSPA Gold Award clearly demonstrates the organisation’s dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”

The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.

Mike Foster, OBMH Associate Director of Risk Management, said “The Trust is proud to receive the RoSPA Gold Award for the fourth year running as it is a positive acknowledgement of the high standards of health and safety practice in place across the Trust.”
