OBMH welcomes new Non-executive Director

Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (OBMH) welcomes the appointment of Anne Grocock, who lives in Oxford, to its Board as Non-executive Director from 1 February 2008, for a period of four years.

 

Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (OBMH) welcomes the appointment of Anne Grocock, who lives in Oxford, to its Board as Non-executive Director from 1 February 2008, for a period of four years.

Anne Grocock holds a DPhil. in zoology from the University of Oxford. She has held a variety of teaching, executive and non-executive positions, including ten years as Executive Director of the Royal Society of Medicine in London, and serving as Trustee, and later deputy chairman, of the National Museum of Science & Industry, where for nine years, she was also chairman of the Audit Committee. She is currently a non-executive member of the Defence Estates (MOD) Audit Committee and a member of the Owner’s Advisory Board of the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (DEFRA). She has served on a number of boards of trustees of medical and other charities and currently chairs the board of the Nuffield Oxford Hospitals Fund.

Janet Godden, Chair of OBMH, said, “I am delighted to welcome Anne to the Trust. She was an exceptionally strong candidate and will bring a wealth of governance experience to the Board.”

All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees political activity (if any declared) to be made public. Anne Grocock is not a member of any political party and holds no political or Ministerial appointments.

Anne Grocock will receive the standard non executive remuneration of £5,875 per annum. The appointment has been made by the Appointments Commission in accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice
