Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (OBMH) recently carried out a by-election to fill two vacancies for Governors on the Members’ Council representing Service Users for Oxfordshire.

The by-election for the vacancies was successful and we are pleased to announce the two Governors who were elected:

Mrs Jacqueline Bourton and
Mrs Jayne Ann Champion

We would like to welcome both Governors to the Trust and wish them the very best in their new roles.

All Foundation Trusts have a duty to consult a ‘Board of Governors’ (what we call the Members’ Council), which represents service users, carers, staff, members of the public and key stakeholders, in the strategic planning of the organisation. The Members’ Council is chaired by the Chair of the Trust and is made up of appointed Governors and Governors elected by the Membership. In total our Members’ Council has places for 31 Governors.

If you would like to become a Member of our Foundation Trust, then please visit our Become a Member page which includes an online application form.
