Dr Frederico Magalhaes, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Oxford Health’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has contributed to a recent article published in the BMJ.

Oxford Health researcher contributes to article on new treatments for depression

The article, titled “New and Emerging Treatments for Major Depressive Disorder” summarises research into new and emerging treatments to target major depressive disorder (MDD), including drugs such as psychedelics.

MDD has a substantial personal and socioeconomic impact and effective management of MDD is essential to improve the quality of life for people living with the condition.
