A total of 13 governors have been elected to the Trust's Council of Governors following our recent election.

Following the council of governor elections held over the last few months, 13 governors have started their terms on the Trust’s council of governors.

Five of these were elected by the Trust’s membership in two contested constituencies. Three of the 13 are returning governors – Srikesavan Sabapathy, Kate England and Evin Abrishami – who will begin their second terms.

The successful candidates started their terms on 1 June 2025, and we will be introducing you to them all very shortly via the Trust’s governor webpages.

Making a meaningful impact

Oxford Health Lead Governor Vicki Power talks about why being a Governor is so fulfilling

Lady smiling wearing glasses against blue backgound Vicki joined the NHS to make a meaningful impact, she believes her voluntary role as a governor will further this goal. Vicki is passionate about empowering colleagues through clear communication and actively supports this as lead governor.

Vicki said, “I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the elections, your involvement is crucial in ensuring our governors effectively represent our community’s interests including our staff, patients and carers”.

“I look forward to working with our newly appointed and existing governors to support Oxford Health in being Caring, Safe and Excellent and meeting them in person at the next Council of Governors meeting on 12 June in Thame”.

Oxford Health’s Council of Governors are all volunteers and represent the main stakeholders and membership of the Trust – public, patients and carers, staff and local partner organisations – as well as the Trust’s delivery geographies.
