Over the past decade Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership (OMHP) has reshaped the way mental health care is delivered locally, leading the way in setting the template for holistic and supportive mental health care and treatment.

The trailblazing approach earned OMHP the NHS Parliamentary Award for Excellence in Mental Health Care in 2019. The award recognised the OMHP’s pioneering approach and innovative model with the partnership received unanimous backing from all Oxfordshire MPs.

Together they provide treatment, care and support to people in all areas of their life which are affected by and affect their mental health.

Colleagues from all partners met to set out the way forward for the next ten years, with a focus on enabling people to live their lives in a way which is right for them. They were joined by mental health outdoor providers Root and Branch plus Bridewell Garden who both help support the delivery of mental health services.

Nicola Leavesley is Chief Executive Officer of Response and this year’s chair of Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership.

She said: “Today’s stakeholder session was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on 10 years of strong partnership between NHS mental health teams and the voluntary sector in Oxfordshire. We’ve achieved so much together—and now, we’re focused on building on that solid foundation to do even better for the people and communities we serve over the next 10 years.”
