Results of a survey published recently found positive responses as well as areas where things could have been better.

Those who completed the Participant in Research Experience Survey, a survey of participants’ experience of studies supported by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), included those who took part in studies at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The findings to multiple choice questions included:

  • 88% said research staff always treated them with courtesy and respect
  • 87% said they would consider taking part in research again
  • 86% said researchers valued their taking part in the research
  • 84% said the information they received prepared them before taking part.

Participants who completed surveys for studies they took part in included the PAX-D study into treatment resistant depression. A total of 90 participated at the Trust.
