Reviews show our team always put their best Linfoot forward

The Oxford Health team winning over patients with five star reviews on the independent I Want Great Care website is the Linfoot Ward based at Witney Community Hospital.

Reviews show our team always put their best Linfoot forward

The ward houses a rehabilitation unit that supports twelve patients and more recently has become responsible for the plus size pathway for Oxford Health, supporting the reablement of patients that have a BMI of over 30. Linfoot is hoping to become a centre of excellence in supporting this client group.

The team is made up of nurses, healthcare assistants, nurse associate trainees, nursing assistants, a nurse cadet as well as a registrar, a reablement assistant and a ward pharmacist. They have over 45 members of staff working in the ward so the photo above is just a fraction of the ward staff.

One patient who left a review said: “Everything about my care was top class. Everyone was kind, helpful, cheerful and happy. Nothing was too much trouble.”

Christine Lucas, ward manager, said: “I am proud to be part of The Linfooteers who are such an amazing team. They have all worked tirelessly through the COVID pandemic and always strive to give outstanding care to their patients.

“As a team we have been through some very challenging and difficult times, some sad & some happy times but we all look out for each other, support each other and are one big family.”

Another service user said: “Treated with kindness when help was needed. The care was great.”

“Staff have been fantastic,” said another patient. “I have enjoyed my stay and I will miss everyone. Nothing was too much trouble.”

A final patient said: “The staff on the ward were just lovely. They made my time in hospital as enjoyable as they could. I will miss them but I am ready to leave hospital now.”
