Sandra Diesel is February’s Exceptional People Award winner
Winning February’s Exceptional People Award was a pleasant surprise for activities coordinator Sandra Diesel, Oxford Health’s second selection for the new year.
Sandra, who has been described by patients and colleagues as exceptional in her role, goes above and beyond for the patients in Sandford ward In addition to her regular schedule, she is known to come in on weekends to make crafts and meals for patients and the team.
Sandra said: “I like being on the ward with the patients every day, seeing how they enjoy and benefit from the activities that I plan and seeing people get better, knowing that my work has contributed to that.”
Sandra was nominated for the award by Dr. Holly Millard who described her service as invaluable and indispensable. Dr. Millard said: “Sandra has changed the ward with her passion, diligence and creativity.
“She deserves to be recognised for her incredible, exceptional work and contribution to Sandford ward.”
Sandra will receive a certificate and our thanks for her valued service to the trust and its patients.
