People interested in taking part in health research studies are being encouraged to sign up to a new service which notifies them about trials they could join.

More than 150,000 people have registered for free at the Be Part of Research website to be contacted about studies into conditions that interest them, for example depression or dementia.

People with health conditions as well as those in good health can register and are contacted by email when a study that matches their interests is available (exclusions may apply).

Trials take place in hospitals or in the community, including at home, and involve anything from testing a new treatment to completing questionnaires about living with a condition. Learn more at bepartofresearch.nihr.ac.uk
